Half Day and All Day Preschool
Creative Discovery Learning Center offers Half Day and All Day Preschool programs for children 2½ to 6 years of age. We provide structured morning Preschool as well as play-based educational activities throughout the day for Preschool children.
This program also includes purposeful play activities so that each child is given opportunities to develop cognitive, social, and physical skills. These include:
- skills to work/play in a group
- problem solving skills
- observation skills
- language skills
- memory skills
- scientific and mathematical thinking
- large muscle coordination
- small muscle coordination
Kindergarten Readiness
Kindergarten Readiness includes the Preschool program as well as a phonics program (Zoo-Phonics) that leads into the Kindergarten literacy programs in the Howell Public Schools.
Zoo-Phonics engages each child to learn sounds, alphabet, reading, and writing through concrete, hands-on activities. Zoo-Phonics fully involves the child's eyes, ears, mouth, and body as he/she learns. The children currently enrolled at Creative Discovery love Zoo-Phonics — they are doing great and are applying their newly acquired skills in other areas!
